Today In Black History...

On this date in 2002 Ozzie Newsome became the general manager and executive vice president of the Baltimore Ravens. This made Newsome the first and only black general manager in league history.

Its crazy how a league that is made up of over 70 percent of minorities players, still has very little minority representation in positions of power and decision making. We have fought and succeeded in being equal on the playing field, but still have a long way to go off of it in the offices.
