Obama Is Heading To Ghana.

President Obama will be heading to Ghana sometime today and will be there for two days, highlighted by a speech on Saturday to Ghana's parliament. This will give the president his first chance to express his administration's vision for aid to the world's poorest continent. This will be his first trip to Africa since being elected president. President Obama has said he decided on Ghana because of the nation's "democratic commitments" demonstrated by President John Atta Mills. Ghana is also a key nation in Africa being the first country to win post-colonial independence. During the Obama's 24-hour visit to Ghana, Barack will meet with the president and address parliament before he and first lady Michelle Obama tour the Cape Coast Castle, which was used in the trans-Atlantic slave trade.
