How It Works
Our ten-step program will show you time-tested methods of not building wealth. Here's an overview:
1. Never save.
Because, you've never had enough income to live the way you want to, anyways! So enjoy it while you can. If you want something, buy it immediately. You'll feel a lot better once you do.
2. Keep up with the Joneses.
In order to be successful at not building wealth, maintaining your image is a must. Invest in a luxury car, and expensive clothing. You need the world to know that you're spending money! If someone you know buys something new, that's a sign that you should too!
3. Business can wait.
Whenever possible, wait until the last minute to plan financially. Pay your bills as late as possible. Banks and other institutions will be glad to help - overdraft charges, late fees, and interest will get you right on track to your goal of financial instability.
4. Learn to enjoy leisure time more.
Life is stressful. Instead of dealing with it, find creative ways to distract yourself. Video games and TV are great for that! Spend at least 2-3 hours daily watching TV or playing games.
5. Pick up addictive habits.
There are great, fun habits that can help you spend money without even thinking about it. When you're spending at least $50 a week on liquor, weed, or cigarettes, you'll know you're on the right track. Make sure your friends do it too!
6. Don't educate yourself.
When you educate yourself, you may start thinking some of these activities don't seem to make sense. Don't fall into that trap! Read as little as possible, especially when it comes to news and politics.
7. Be cool at all times.
Remember, you have an image to keep. To be successful, look to BET and MTV for role models. Then, imitate what you see. It's how to prove you're keepin' it real!
8. Never take responsibility.
Whenever something in life goes wrong, remember that there is someone else who's probably trying to make it that way. It's their fault. All you're trying to do is survive. So don't worry about trying to change your life. It probably wouldn't work anyways.
9. Don't keep your word.
This is the mark of a true low roller. You've got to learn how to fit in. Always be late, at least 20 minutes late for everything. Never promise anything, and if you do, make sure not to follow through. It's great for keeping away people who want to take advantage of your lack of success.
10. Dumb yourself down.
This is the absolute best way to live the poor lifestyle you've always wanted. Whenever you speak, make it a point to "be hard". Speak as clumsily and poorly as possible. Preferably while complaining about how few opportunities you have. This will really win over friends in your new broke lifestyle. Avoid anything that makes you appear intelligent - they'll think you're trying to be better than them!
Imagine your new life... the freedom to do what someone else wants you to do, the satisfaction of not being your own boss. It can all be yours!
