Today In Black HIstory - Assata Shakur

On this date in 1979 Assata Shakur was liberated from prison with the help of her comrades. Assata was able to escape out of the maximum security wing of the Clinton Correctional Facility for Women in New Jersey and then eventually moved to Cuba. Find out more about Assata Shakur HERE
