Happy Founders Day: Alpha Kappa Alpha

On this date in 1908 Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, the first organization of black Greek sisterhood was founded at Howard University in Washington, D. C. by a group of nine students, led by Ethel Hedgeman Lyle.
