Mandela's Conversation With Himself

This past tuesday October 12, Nelson Mandela's book Conversation With Myself was released worldwide. This book is a collection of his letters from his 27 years in jail in South Africa as a political prisoner. The foreword of the book is written by President Obama. Many of the letters were copied by Mandela into exercise books which were confiscated by the authorities.
They were finally handed back to him by a former security policeman in 2004. These letters are a look into some of the darkest hours of Mandela's imprisonment on Robben Island. With this book we also get to see more of the man and his true raw emotions while away from his wife and children.
