More Than Half of Benin Is Under Water

Tremendous rainfall has caused flooding throughout Central and West Africa. The West African nation of Benin has more than half of its country under water and has close to 50 people dead according to UN reports. The overall death toll from these rains is close to 400 and has affected over 1 millions and half people. In Benin the floods left around 100,000 people homeless, and 800 in the coastal city of Cotonou had contracted cholera because of the flooding.
