Happy Independence Day Tanzania

On this date in 1961 Tanzania gained its independence from the British. Tanzania had been under the control of the United Kingdom since the end of World War One. They had taken over the territory from Germany as part of a decision from the League of Nations. The national language is Swahili. Tanzania is the world's 31st-largest country.
