The King Of Futbol...

Pele is arguably the greatest soccer player ever to play the sport. In the 1960's and 70's Pele was voted the third most recognizable person in the world. The Afro-Brazilian has never hidden his feeling about the mistreatment of those of the darker hue in his native country. Since the end of his amazing soccer career, he has worked on the improvement of living conditions for the poor of the country but especially the poor blacks. As much as he would like to act as if race problems don't exist in Brazil, he would be lying if he said they didn't. Brazil has the largest population of black origin people outside of Africa in the world, so race has been a issue there since the first slaves we taken there by the Portuguese.
