Malcolm X's dismay about rumors of Muhammad's extramarital affairs and jealousy from other brothers inside the Nation caused Malcolm X to resign from the Nation of Islam on this date in 1964. After leaving the Nation of Islam, Malcolm X founded Muslim Mosque, Inc.He would go on to convert to Sunni Islam and decided to make his pilgrimage to Mecca. He relationship was never repaired and Malcolm would be killed by members of the Nation on February 21, 1965 iin New York City.
